The novel Looking for Alibrandi is centered around the growth and development of the relations among the three generations of Alibrandi women. Josephine Alibrandi, a Catholic school girl is the protagonist in her final high school year. She attends St. Marthas, a wealthy catholic school in Sydneys eastern suburbs, on an academic scholarship.
