I feel that there are two types of people (at least for the most part) people who get grades on the high end, examples A+, B+, C+.These people are always right there, almost to the next grade.So if this was the case this type of people would greatly benefit from this type of grade point scale.Because if they had a B+ they would receive more points than just a B would get them.They would get about .75 points instead of justpoints.Which in this case if the person had a B+, C+, B+, B+, B as there semester grades they would have a .4 grade point average whether than a .8 grade point average if a B was graded the same as a B+.So if you are these kind of people you would really want the grade point average system to change.But it you're the other person you really wouldn't want it to change.
The other type of person is I, the guy who struggles to a B and when he does it is a B- or an A-.This type of grading hurts this type of person.For the reason that when he gets a B it would hurt this person because he would not get has my points as before, where as before he would have gotten the points just the same as a B+ but now he doesn't he gets less.This would really hurt someone just like it really helped the person that gets all top end grades.Just because you can't get a B or a B+ you still worked hard to get a B- so you should be rewarded with the same amount of points as the other guy.
Then you have the guy that doesn't really care anyway cause he or she gets straight B's or C's and this guy is the one that really should get the shaft because he doesn't work hard.Where as the other two have to work hard to get what they want.
